Profile words by what they signal

Do not flatten people into one definition. Ask when it affects safety or comfort.

Limpio is the word to retire

Limpio literally means clean, but in app profiles it can become health-coded shorthand. That is the problem. English-language HIV educators call out “clean” as stigmatizing because it implies people living with HIV are dirty; Q Care Plus explicitly marks “clean” as inappropriate language, and San Francisco AIDS Foundation includes “clean only” in a broader list of exclusionary hookup-app language.⁶⁷
