Contact
¿Qué onda? There's one inbox here and one person reading it. No ticket system, no contact form that vanishes into a CRM, and no team hiding behind the word "we".
I'd tell you I reply ahorita, but you've probably read that page and know exactly how little that promises. In practice it's a few days. Sometimes longer, if I'm travelling or the inbox has quietly gotten away from me. I do get to everything eventually, and if I've gone quiet on you, nudging me again is completely fine — it usually means the mail got buried, not ignored.
Things worth writing about
- A word I got wrong. La neta, this is the most useful mail I get. I'm not a native speaker and I'm not a linguist — I'm someone who writes down what he hears and checks it with people who grew up with it, which catches most things but not all of them. If a definition is off, an example sounds stiff, or the register is wrong for your part of Mexico, tell me. I'd much rather fix it than defend it.
- A word I've missed. There are plenty. The list is nowhere near finished and probably never will be. Regional ones are the most welcome, since those are the hardest for me to run into on my own. Send the word plus one line of how you'd actually use it — that second part is the bit I can't guess.
- A Spanish school for the directory. The schools directory is free to be in and nobody pays for a listing. Send the name, the neighbourhood and a link. If you teach somewhere good that isn't on there yet, that's on me, not on you.
- Press, partnerships, or licensing. Want to use a word card or a quiz somewhere? Just ask — the answer is usually yes, and I'm curious where it ends up.
- Privacy and data requests. Access, deletion, or opting out of sale or sharing. The full process is in the privacy policy, but an email works just as well and lands in the same place.
- Something on the site is broken or shouldn't be there. ¡Aguas! is the right word for this one. A bad ad, a dead link, a photo you own and didn't licence to me. The terms have the formal route if you want it, but writing to me directly is faster and I'll take it seriously either way.
The newsletter
Every newsletter email has a working unsubscribe link at the bottom and it takes effect straight away. If it doesn't, reply to the email itself and I'll pull the address by hand. Replies to the newsletter reach the same inbox as the address above, so if that's easier than opening a new mail, use that.
Elsewhere
For a one-line question, a DM or a comment is honestly faster than email. Échame un grito on Instagram, Threads, TikTok, Facebook, Telegram, YouTube or Pinterest — same handle everywhere. Anything that needs a paper trail, though — privacy, licensing, legal — should go by email so we both have a copy.
Who you're writing to
Andrey the Nomad, writing and editing all of this on the side. I'm a foreigner who learned this vocabulary the slow, mildly embarrassing way: by saying the wrong thing at the wrong volume and having someone kindly explain why the table went quiet. That's most of the reason the site exists. More on why I started it and on the author page.
ConSalsa.App is operated by Data Sauna LLC, a single-member limited liability company formed in the State of Wyoming, United States, with a registered office at 30 N Gould St, Ste R, Sheridan, WY 82801, USA. That's a registered agent's address rather than somewhere you can knock on the door — there is no office, and the company is one person with a laptop. Email is the way in.
No phone number either. A one-person side project answering calls across three timezones would go badly for both of us. But the mail does get read, so write con confianza.
